The Foundation Peder Skram

The Frigate Peder Skram is owned and operated by the Foundation Peder Skram founded in 1995 after a large number of persons since 1990 had decided to preserve the Frigate for posterity. The Foundation is a private foundation with a Board of Directors handling the day-to-day operation, and a committee selecting the Board.

The Foundation is neither supported by the State nor receiving financial support from the authorities. Its only scheduled income derives from sale of tickets. As this income does not cover all the cost of restoring and maintenance the Foundation is depending on contributions from funds and companies. Four times Her Majesty the Queen and His Royal Highness the Prince Consort's Foundation has supported the activities of the Foundation.

The Foundation Peder Skram is grateful for any support preserving this unique ship, and it still has a need for financial support to continue the development of the Frigate as a living museum ship. The Board as well as the Friends are carrying out their work at no cost. The Foundation has only two part-time persons emploid. Apart from them no paid personnel has been hired.
