Crest

The crest of HDMS Peder Skram was approved by King Frederik 9th on January 15th 1964. The crest is a copy of the crest of Admiral Peder Skram showing a silvery unicorn on a blue background.

The crest is mounted on a golden anchor. Normally such a crest was placed on the front of the bridge when the Frigate was docked. When at sea, the crest was placed to the right of the Captain's cabin to stay protected from wind, weather and sea. The Frigate has now got the permission from the Navy to keep and carry the crest and the name. No other naval vessel will be allowed to carry the name of Peder Skram as long as the present Frigate is a museum ship.
